Dan Hardt, a lifelong Kentuckiana resident, has over 40 years of financial services experience.  All of those years have been devoted to helping clients make sound financial decisions and move toward their financial goals.  Dan’s team helps each client on an ongoing basis with planning and, as needed, investments and insurance.

Dan graduated from the University of Louisville with High Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Dan works with a variety of clients and has extensive experience helping clients who want to apply principles of the Christian faith to their financial decision-making.  To help provide this with excellence, Dan is one of only a handful of financial professionals in the nation to have obtained both the Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) and Christian Financial Consultant and Advisor (CFCA®) certifications.  In addition, he is the only individual ever chosen by both of these sponsoring organizations to receive their highest character-based award: Kingdom Advisors’ Larry Burkett Award and NACFC’s Integrity Award.

Dan is actively involved in Kingdom Advisors and is a past president of the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants (NACFC).  He is also President of Faith and Finances, a local non-profit ministry dedicated to helping Christians apply the principles of their faith to their financial planning.

He has been married to Charlene for over 40 years.  They have two daughters, two granddaughters, and live in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Dan and Charlene are members of Eastside Christian Church in Jeffersonville, IN.

All of Tommy Alvey’s life has been directed toward his goal of serving as a Financial Advisor.  His experience demonstrates an aptitude for teaching and counseling as well as finances.

Tommy believes a solid Investment Portfolio begins with a solid Financial Plan.  He appreciates the importance of planning, saving, and giving that his parents instilled in him at a very early age.

Tommy’s education began with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.  He then earned Master’s degrees in both Business and Education.  In addition to this, he has completed graduate-level work in both Investment Management and Counseling.

Tommy is an active member of Kingdom Advisors, an organization for financial professionals who feel led to apply Biblical principles in their work with clients.

Before joining Hardt Financial Group, Tommy invested 10 years in the public school system teaching personal finance courses at the high school level.

He joined DHFS in 2017 and quickly demonstrated his value.  He now serves as Head of Financial Planning and Investing, becoming a partner in the firm in 2022.

Tommy, a lifelong resident of Kentuckiana, has been married to Cristal for 18 years.  They have three daughters.

Through his experiences at school and work, Jacob Pryor discovered financial planning as a way to help people make informed decisions about a subject that impacts everyone’s life: finances.  He knows that if a person’s finances are going in the right direction, their life is much more likely to go in the right direction as well.

Jacob graduated in three years from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Planning.  He is currently working towards his Certified Financial Planner™ certification.

Jacob serves on the board of the Kentuckiana Financial Planning Association.  He is also an active member of Kingdom Advisors, an organization for financial professionals who feel led to apply Biblical principles in their work with clients.

He has come to believe that for people who have a religious faith, those beliefs about life, and the way a person handles their finances, should be purposefully integrated.

Jacob started displaying his work ethic and his entrepreneurial nature in high school, having his own businesses cleaning office buildings and owning and maintaining vending machines as well as working at other jobs.

During summers in college, Jacob sold Bibles door-to-door to pay for school and as a ministry opportunity.  During the second summer, this included recruiting and leading a team of sales interns.

After graduation from Liberty in Lynchburg, Virginia, he worked at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor.  Then, wishing to move closer to his family in Booneville, IN – and to be able to integrate his faith into his work life – Jacob left Merrill Lynch and moved to Louisville to work with Hardt Financial Group in July 2020.

Jacob works as a lead financial advisor for many clients and also serves on the financial planning team with Tommy Alvey and Dan Hardt.

Jacob married his wife, Hanna, in May of 2022.  They attend Southeast Christian Church.

Originally from Florida, Sydney graduated from Boyce College in 2023 with a degree in Business Administration and joined Hardt Financial Group the same year. She brings a fresh perspective and a heart for service to her role as Client Service Coordinator, where she supports clients with care, efficiency, and attention to detail. With her commitment to excellence, Sydney ensures every client feels valued, heard, and supported.

She attends Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoys playing pickleball in her free time. Her favorite Bible verse, 2 Corinthians 12:9, reminds her that God’s grace is more than enough, and His strength shines brightest in our weakness

Kristin brings a dynamic blend of project management, operations, and database expertise to her role as Client Service Coordinator. Originally from Texas, she has proudly called Louisville home for over 20 years. Her career has been shaped by a passion for helping others and creating meaningful connections, which shines through in every client interaction.

With a strong background in organization and service, Kristin is dedicated to delivering smooth, personalized experiences that make clients feel supported and valued. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensures that every touchpoint reflects the firm’s mission of care. Kristin enjoys serving at church, studying the Bible and watching football and movies. Her favorite Bible verse— Habakkuk 2:3, which reminds her to trust in God’s perfect timing.

Laura brings a heart for service and a lifetime of meaningful experiences to her role as Client Experience Specialist. She began her journey of faith at age nine, which has guided her through decades of nursing and missionary work. A proud member of the first graduating BSN class at Bellarmine College (now Bellarmine University), Laura retired from nursing in 2016. She and her husband Kent, her best friend since their marriage in 1988, spent seven and a half years as missionaries in South Africa and Zambia.

Laura finds peace and inspiration in nature, enjoys period novels and classic musical films, and serves at Cornerstone Family Church. Her favorite Bible verses—Romans 8:37–39 and 2 Corinthians 5:19–21—reflect her deep belief in God’s unwavering love and the power of reconciliation.
